At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over. Under 18's must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Late arrivals must notify us as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours, after this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
Bookings cannot be amended withing 7 days of your arrival.
Bookings must not be for more than 7 consecutive nights.

Check in from 1pm, pitches must be vacated by 12 Noon unless otherwise arranged (see below re extended stays)
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable, no refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
Group bookings of 2 or more units travelling together are not permitted.
Group bookings of 4 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).
The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
Quiet hours between 10pm and 6am. No vehicles to move on site between these hours. Radio, music, tv players must be kept at a low volume, car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
Day visitors welcome between 10.30am to 6pm. Maximum 2 visitors per pitch. £1 per person
Extended stays until 5pm available until 5pm space permitting £5
Extra car permitted - £1 per night subject to availability
Strictly no entrance to farm buildings or vehicles allowed.
Firepits and barbeques are allowed but must on the stone base and no closer than 1 metre from any vehicle or caravan. We reserve the right to disallow firepits and barbeques at any time due to damage or weather conditions
Admission - The proprietors are entitled to refuse admission when this appears necessary in the interest of guests. Any guests causing a nuisance to others will be asked to leave.
Payments by cash, bacs, and the following cards:
Visa, Mastercard.
We reserve the right to temporarily hold an amount prior to arrival.
The full sum is due upon booking.
No refunds or discounts are offers for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.

We understand that sometimes plans change. As a small, eight-pitch touring site, cancellations can have a significant impact on us, particularly at short notice. We therefore ask guests to give us as much notice as possible if they are unable to stay.
Payment
Full payment is required at the time of booking. This includes a 20% non-refundable booking deposit.
If you need to cancel
* More than 14 days before your arrival date: 80% of the total booking cost will be refunded.
* Between 8 and 14 days before arrival: 50% of the total booking cost will be refunded.
* 7 days or fewer before arrival: no refund will normally be given.
* No refunds are given for non-arrival, late arrival or early departure.
If we are able to re-let all or part of your cancelled stay, we may at our discretion refund additional monies retained, less the non-refundable 20% booking deposit and any reasonable costs incurred.
Changing your dates
More than 14 days before arrival, you may move your booking to another available date within the same season at no charge.
Between 8 and 14 days before arrival, we will normally allow one transfer to another available date within the same season instead of taking a cancellation refund.
Bookings cannot normally be transferred within 7 days of arrival.
Any booking may only be transferred once. The cancellation period relating to the original booking date will continue to apply to a transferred booking.
If the new stay costs more, the difference will be payable. If it costs less, no cash refund will normally be given for the difference.
Weather
The Shepherd’s Loft is an outdoor touring site and holidays are naturally affected by the weather. Refunds will not normally be given because of rain, wind, temperature or other weather conditions where the site remains open and the booked pitch is available.
We strongly recommend that guests take out appropriate UK holiday or travel insurance if they would like protection against illness, breakdown, severe weather or other circumstances which may prevent them from travelling.
If we have to cancel your stay
In the unlikely event that The Shepherd’s Loft has to cancel your booking and we are unable to provide your booked pitch, you will be offered either:
* a full refund of the amount paid for the affected stay; or
* transfer of the full amount paid to another available date.
Third-party bookings
Bookings made through Pitchup, Campsites.co.uk or another booking agent are also subject to that company's booking and cancellation terms. Where applicable, deposits or fees retained by the booking agent are outside the control of The Shepherd’s Loft.

Under no circumstances are fireworks or sparklers allowed to be used on the property
We do not permit charging of electric vehicles or bikes on site
All pitches are hard standing and awnings should also be sited on the hardstanding. The grassed areas between the pitches are for fire safety and should not be used for siting awnings. Any awning sited on the grassed areas will be asked to be removed.
All vehicles on site must have current MOT and insurance. Sorry no commercial vehicles. Only one vehicle allowed per pitch.
We are a pet friendly site, To ensure the comfort of all of our guests we only allow one dog per pitch. Owners must ensure their dogs do not cause annoyance. Dogs must be on a short lead at all times. Any fouling must be cleared (anyone not doing so will be asked to leave). Dogs must not be left on site / in caravan if owners are off site.
We only allow a maximum of two parties to fish at one time so please ensure that you book if you intend to fish in order to avoid being disappointed
•Please be aware of the overhead live electric wires when casting
•No marking of fish
•All Anglers to have a current EA rod license for fishing – to be shown on request
•No swimming, wading or paddling permitted
•Strictly no keep nets unless authorised by the management
•No trout pellets or tiger nuts
•Barbless hooks only
•Please use your own landing nets and unhooking mats
•All unused bait is to be taken home and not put into lakes
•Rods are not to be left unattended at any time or for any reasons
•All fish should be returned to the water immediately
•All fish photography should be held kneeling down and over an unhooking mat
•Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times
•No fishing tackle to be left lying around the lake
•Abide by the country code
•You are allowed one dog with you at the peg but it must be kept on a lead at all times and any mess cleared up. We reserve the right to ask the dog to be moved if we need to move livestock through the field.
•Seasonal closing – we reserve the right to close the lake during periods of extreme heat or when the fish are spawning
